Teaching Assistant TA

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking SEN teaching assistants to work with primary school children in a mainstream primary school to start in September in Bolton.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs
• Be comfortable managing children with autism, ADHD, aspergers and challenging behaviour
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
• Strong work ethic
• Able to adapt to the different needs of each child
• Flexibly adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner

Responsibilities

• Ensuring pupils stay on task by managing disruptive behaviour
• Providing support to children on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting
• Assisting the teacher in planning engaging lessons for the class in line with school policies
• Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support
• Following an individual behavioural plan or care plan

Qualifications are not essential but would be desirable.
