Manager | Lincolnshire |Full Time| £26007.80- £29723.20

Boulevard Care Ltd is a family-run organisation catering to people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. Boulevard Care was formed and opened in 1988 and since this time has further developed services and now offers accommodation and day services at many locations within their Lincolnshire base of operations.

Boulevard Care strongly believes that a positive approach is required in caring for people with learning difficulties and that they have the same fundamental right as all others to reach their optimum potential in life, both intellectually and socially.

The hours of work will either be a 35-hour contract with a salary of £26007.8 or a 40-hour contract with a salary of  £29723.20, hours are negotiable.  A further £7200 is payable for an average of 2 sleeps per week. All upon completion of fit person application with CQC for a registered manager.

What will your role as a Manager look like?

  • To ensure the operation of the home in accordance with all registration criteria and relevant legislation as defined in the statement of purpose.
  • To ensure the provision of a warm and friendly home environment in which each resident’s individuality, privacy, and self-esteem are maintained by encouraging them to have personal possessions, individual choice, and friends and family visits.
  • Display a professional attitude at all times and set a clear example to subordinates.
  • To manage the staff team and staff development ensuring that training needs are identified and met through the process of supervision and appraisal.
  • Must be prepared to initiate and implement disciplinary procedure when necessary.
  • To speedily resolve Health & Safety issues with the location.
  • To attend training courses, team meetings, and manager’s meetings when required and to remain professionally updated.
  • Be responsible for accurate financial records and Fire Safety Procedure/Records.
  • To be punctual at all times and to report for duty looking presentable.
  • It is the responsibility of the Team Manager to apply for and successfully complete the ‘Fit Person’ interview with CQC within whatever time limit is specified.
  • To ensure that Boulevard Care’s policies and procedures are followed and make recommendations for updating or changing.
  • To prepare weekly staff rotas to ensure adequate staffing according to client requirements at the centre and that all staff is allotted their contracted number of hours each week. Ensure that timesheets, overtime, and annual leave requests are forwarded to Head Office.
  • To help promote social interaction by accompanying clients to social functions and activities out in the community e.g. cinemas, sports centres, restaurants, pubs, clubs, etc
  • To ensure the provision of nutritious meals by drawing up a cycle of daily menus, giving regard to any special dietary and cultural needs of any individual resident.
  • To liaise with professional and outside agencies such as Care Managers, Doctors, and Nursing staff, the Fire Service, Environmental Health Offices, and Residential Home Inspectors.
  • To provide on-call advice to the home.
  • To ensure the security and stability of the home.  It is essential that Team Leaders are given sufficient training so that they can deputise in the Team Manager’s absence and duties can be delegated according to the skill of the staff team members.
  • To assist the Team Manager/Team Leader in identifying the needs of all residents both inside and outside the home. This will entail providing a duty of care as identified in Care Plans, including offering support and guidance with personal hygiene, presentation, personal room cleanliness, completion of laundry, client personal shopping, and developing skills.
